Our Ushers
Ushering department is one of the many departments in RCCG Zion Sanctuary.
The unit members are your first contact as they are meant to give you a warm welcome, offer you a well deserving seat, comfortable enough for you to have a beautiful worship experience.
As servants in Gods vineyard, it is our duty to serve you joyfully as our service is a reminder of the love of God towards mankind. “if any man serve me, him will my father honor” (John 12:26) and our motto is taken from Colossians 3:23,24: And Whatsoever ye do. Do it heartily, as to the lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the lord, ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
Our watch word:” I Serve Christ The Lord”
- We are responsible for maintaining orderliness before, during and after service. Our attitude is influenced greatly by this spiritual admonition, Habakkuk 2:20 “But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.”
- Seating guest comfortably
- Attending to the needs of members and guests
- Welcome visitors warmly and make them feel at home
- Matt 5:16 “ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”
- We handle Lost and found items
- We familiarize ourselves with heating, A/c, plumbing and electrical controls to help forestall potential emergencies that could endanger the life of worshippers.
